A piece of equipment weighs 539N and 209N on Earth and Mars, respectively. What is the acceleration due to gravity on the surface of Mars?

f = mg 539 = m×9.8 therefore m = 539/9.8

therefore m = 55

now 209 = m* g(mars)

therefore g(mars)=209/55= 3.8
