A piece of land is 48 m long and 4.2 m wide. Five square flower beds each of sides 1.2m are dug on (he land. What is the area of remaining part of land?

First we will find the area of the land that is 48 × 4.2 = 201.6 m
now the flowers are each of sides 1.2 m so the area is 1.44 m × 5 = 7.2
now we will subtract 201.6 by 7.2 = 194.4 m
