Given :

A piece of string 28 cm long is bent to form the square

To find :

what is the area of the square

Solution:

Length of string = 28 cm

Perimeter of square = 4 \times Side

So,4 \times Side = 28

Side = \frac{28}{4}

Side = 7

Area of square = Side^2 = 7^2 = 49 sq.cm.

Hence The area of square is 49 sq.cm.
