A square has 4 equal sides.

Perimeter of Square = Length of String

4 × side = 60

side = 60/4

side = 15 cm

Length of each side of the string =15cm

Perimeter of Triangle= Length of String

3 × Side(since all sides are equal) = 60cm

3 × side = 60cm

side = 60/3

side = 20cm

Length of each side of the string = 20cm

A rectangle with all sides equal is also called a square

Therfore the length of string required is 15cm.

This is because all sides are supposed to be equal.
