A piece of wire 3/4meter long was cut into 3 peices. The first price was 3/20meter long, while the length of the second price was 5/3 of the first . How long was the third peice?

Given,

total length of wire=3/4m

three pieces have been cut from wire, length of :

1st piece =3/20m

2nd piece= 5/3 of 3/20

that is:

5/300×3/20

=1/400m

3rd piece=????

now,

a/c,

length of 3rd wire=( total length)-(sum of legth of 1st and 2nd wire)

=(3/4)-(1/400+3/20)

=(3/4)-(1+60/400)

=(3/4)-(61/400)

=3/4-61/400

=300-61/400

=239/400m
