Que:- A piece of wire is bent in the shape of an equilateral triangle of side 4.4 cm. If this wire is rebent to form of a circle, find the radius and the area of the circle?

Solution:-

A wire is in the shape of Circle.

So, Length of Wire = Perimeter of Triangle.

=> Perimeter of Equilateral Triangle = 3 × Side
=> 3 × 4.4
=> 13.2 cm.

Length of Wire = Circumference of Circle

=> Circumference of Circle = 2 × pi × r
=> 13.2 = 2 × 22/7 × r
=> r = 13.2 × 7/(22 ×2)
=> r = 2.1 cm.

Radius of Circle = 2.1 cm.

Now, Area of Circle = pi × r^2
=> 22/7 × 2.1 × 2.1
=> 13.86 cm^2.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation

Firstly , since it is an equilateral triangle it's all sides will be equal. So find perimeter by adding all the sides.

Then you will get value of circumference of circle. Since the same wire is used.

Perimeter of the triangle =circumference of circle.

Then simply find area and radius.
