We know that resistance is directly proportional to the length of the wire, now when the length is divided into 5 then resistance becomes 1/5.
Now when we add them in parallel the equivalent resistance is
1/R'= 5/R +5/R +5/R+ 5/R +5/R
1/R'= 25/R
R' =R/25.
Ratio of R/R' = R/ (R/25)
= 25:1.
Hope this helps.

How did it come as 1/R
