A piggy bank contains 370 rs. if the number of 10rs notes is one more then that of 50 rs, find the number of notes of each type

Let the number of Rs. 50 notes be x. So, number of Rs. 10 notes would be x+1.

∴$50x+10(x+1) = 370$

∴$60x + 10 = 370$

∴$60x = 360$

∴$x = 6$

So, number of 50 Rs notes is 6 and 10 Rs notes is 7

Let the number of Rs. 50 notes be x. So, number of Rs. 10 notes would be x+1.

∴50x+10(x+1) = 37050x+10(x+1)=370

∴60x + 10 = 37060x+10=370

∴60x = 36060x=360

∴x = 6x=6

So, number of 50 Rs notes is 6 and 10 Rs notes is 7
