Step-by-step explanation:

let speed of filling pipe = v/9

speed of leaking pipe = v/12

sbtract both we get v/36

therefore leaking without filling will empty tank in 36 hours

Answer:

Let the leakage in the tank empties

it in x hrs

then I/9 - I/x=/12

I/x=I/I2-I/9=(4-3)/36=1/36

x=36, so the leakage will empty

the tank in 36 hrs
