Given: A plane is flying at the height of 2000 m above the sea level. A submarine is floating exactly below  it at 1500 m below the sea level.

To find: What is the vertical distance between them?

Solution:

Now we have given that plane is flying at the height of 2000 m above the sea level and submarine is floating exactly below  it at 1500 m below the sea level.

So the total distance will be:

                  2000 + 1500

                  3500 m

Answer:

         So the vertical distance between them will be 3500 m.

Solution:

☞︎ According to the given problem ,

☞︎ Distance of the flight above the sea

level =2000m

☞︎ Distance of the submarine below the

Sea level =−1500m

☞︎ Vertical distance between flight and

Submarine =∣2000∣+∣−1500∣

=2000+1500

=3500m

Thus, the vertical distance between the plane and the submarine is 3500 m.
