According to the question

The total vertically distance between them is the sum of the distance of the submarine below the sea level and the plane flying vertically above the sea level.

Therefore, the answer will be 5000m + 1200m.

=6200m

Answer:

Height of plane above the sea level. Floating a submarine below the sea level. ∴ The vertical distance between the plane and the submarine. Thus, the vertical distance between the plane and the submarine is 6200 m.
