Explanation:

This is because a plant produces oxygen during daytime with photosynthesis but as well as respire throught the day and night and in respiration it releases carbon dioxide and consumes oxygen, therefore it is a producer as well a consumer but it produces more oxygen than it itself consumes, so plants do not consume all the oxygen they produce, just a part of it.

Oxygen produced by plants releases during this process and some amount of oxygen is consumed by plants.
