a plant with broad leaves will not survive in desert. do you think this statement is correct? explain

Yes this statement is correct because in desert where the temprature is high , if the plant will have broader leaf it will lose lots of water due to having large area exposed to the sun through transpiration and it can die.....because plants need water to survive specially in deserts.....that is why the plants in deserts have pointed leaves so that it can not loose lots of water.....

Yes, this statement is absolutely correct bcz if a plant has broad leaves, the surface area of the leaves will be more so the the amount of evaporation of water will be more.Most plants like cactus etc. are adapted according to the climate conditions in the desert.
