A plastic bix 1.5m long,1.25m wide and 65cm deep is to be made.it is opened at the top.ignore the thiknesd of plastic sheet.determine the area of sheet required for making the box.

given:-

length of the box = 1.5m

breadth (wide) of the box = 1.25m

height (deep) of the box = 65cm = 0.65m

According to the question, we have to find the area of sheet required to make the box except the top.

so we will use CSA + 1 base formula.

CSA + 1 base of the box = 2h ( l + b ) + lb

= ( 2 × 0.65 ) + 1.5 + 1.25 + ( 1.5 × 0.65 )

= 1.3 + 2.75 + 0.975

= 5.025m²

hence, 5.025m² of plastic sheet is required.
