1)Eyepiece- the lense through which the viewer looks into the specimen . they are usually 10x and 5x.
2)Tube- connects the eyepiece to the objective lense.
3)Base- the bottom on which microscope stands.
4)Arm- structural element that connects the head of the microscope to the base.
5)Stage- the flat platform which supports the slide.
6)Illuminator- a steady light source that shines up through the slide
7)Nosepiece-the circular structure where the different objects are screwed in.
8)Objective lense- usually 3 or 4 objective lenses are found in it. the most common ones are 4x 40x and ***************100x.the higher power objectives are power loaded.***********
9)Rack stop-this feature determines how far up the stage can go.
