A plastic bucket does not rust like a bucket made of iron. Why?

plastic contains polymer,ethene and non-metal materials which can not be oxydised to rust but iron's mole reacts with oxygen directly.so iron get rust but not blastic

A plastic bucket does not rust because it does not moisturize in nature as while a bucket made up of iron does.
