A player throws a ball at an angle of 30 up with the horizontal with a velocity of 14m/s. If the point of projection is at a height of 12m fron the ground, then calculate the distance up to which the ball is thrown by the player

It will follow a parabolic path.

Range is given as
R = u^2 Sin2x / g
= 14^2 * Sin60 / 9.8
= 17.32 m

Time taken to reach the ground in next part = sqrt(2H/g)
= sqrt(2 * 12 / 9.8)
= 1.56 s

x2 = u * t
= 14 * 1.56
= 21.84 m

Total distance = 21.84 + 17.32 = 39.16 m
