a playground is 38 M 50 cm long and 61 M 50 cm wide find the cost of levelling it at 40 rupees per metre square and the number of rounds along the boundary one should take to run 2 km.

length of playground = 38.5m
breadth of playground = 61.5m

Area of playground = l * b
= 38.5 * 61.5
= 2367.75 sq metre

rate of levelling = $40/sq. metre
Cost of levelling = 40* 2367.75
= $94710

2km = 2000m
Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)
= 2(38.5+61.5)
= 2(100)
=200m

no. of rounds covered along the boundary one should take to run 2km = 2000/200
= 10 rounds.
