A point change +q is moving with speed ν perpendicular to the magnetic field B as shown in the figure. What should be the magnitude and direction of the applied electric field so that the net force acting on the charge is zero? Please don't spam.

Answer:

As the force is acting upwards i.e. + y axis so for net force to be zero, the electric field should be towards  - y axis or downwards and magnitude of Force should be qvB. The electric field's magnitude is vB.
