Correct option:

(c) z = 0

Because if A point (x, y, z) is on the XY-plane, then all the co-ordinates of z is zero.

Given : A point (x, y, z) is on the XY-plane

To Find : which of the following is always true :

(a) x = 0 (b) y = 0 (c) z = 0

Solution:

A point (x, y, z) is on the XY-plane

Hence z must be 0

As point lies in X-Y plane only hence coordinate of z is 0

For example  ( 1 , 2 , 0)  , ( 3 , 4 , 0)

Hence ( x , y , 0)  as point on x-y plane
