The height from which the top of the rod falls is equivalent to the length of the rod.
Since we don't have the time, we will use the following equation of motion :

Where :
g is acceleration due to gravity and it is equal to 10m/s²
S is the distance covered which is equal to the length of the rod which is 30m
V is the final velocity
U is the initial velocity which is equal to 0 for a falling body.
Substituting the values in the formula :
2 × 10 × 30 = v² - 0
600 = v²
√600 = √v²
V = 24.49 m / s
