Tan x = p/b

Where b = length and p= height and x=angle of elevation

So,

Tan 60 = 30/b

root (3) = 30/b

Hence

b=30/root (3)

By puting the value of root (3)

i.e. 1.73

You get

b=30/1.73

Further simplyfing

b=17.34

Hope it helps
