Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

height of lamp = 8 m

● Explanation -

Let θ be angle light rays make with horizontal.

tanθ = height of pole / shadow of pole = height of lamp / (distance between pole and lamp + shadow of pole)

So substitute values,

3 / 6 = x / (10 + 6)

1 / 2 = x / 16

x = 16 / 2

x = 8 m

Hence, height of the lamp is 8 m.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you...
