A police car is ordered to chase a speeding car 5km ahead. The car is travelling at an average speed of 80km/hr. and police car pursues it with an average speed of 90km/hr. how long does it take for police car to catch the car?

Difference of police car from the car S
= 5km
Speed of the car U = 80km/ hr
speed of police car V = 90 km/ hr
time taken = (V - U) ÷ S
= 90 - 80 ÷ 5
= 2km

therefore Police car catches the car in 2hr
