a police jeep is chasing a culprit going on a motorbike.the motorbike crosses a turning at a speed of 72km/h.the jeep follows it at a speed of 90km/h, crossing the turning 10s later than the bike.assuming that they travel at constant speeds, how far from the turning will they catch up from the bike

As the distance covered by both of them will be same and itz given that velocities are constant then acceleration for both of them will be zero by using second equation of motion -s=ut+1/2(0)t2 =ut
As distance is same so
72×5/18(t+10)=90×5/18(t)
20(t+10)=25t
By solving this t comes to be 40 sec
Put t =40 sec in any equation
S =25 ×40=1,000m or 1km
