When a polynomial of degree n will be divided by polynomial of degree m, when n>m, then the degree of the remainder will be m-1 , ALWAYS, if it leaves a remainder.

Thus, the remainder will be of the form ax+b.

From ur question degrees are

P(x) = a^5

G(x) = a^2

Then Q(x) = a^(5-2) = a^3

And R(x) = a^1 and it is same at all form of degrees in P(x) and others.

Hope this Helps
