here is your answer mate...according to the question...

let the no be x

therefor

x-2 = 15(1/x)=15/x

= x^2-2x=15

x^2-2x-15=0

therefore by factorising it we get

x^2+3x-5x-15

x(x+3)-5(x+3)

therefor

(x-5),and (x+3)

therefore

x=5,-3
although the number is positive therefore.... -3cannot be the answer.. therefore.. the ans is 5

let \: the \: number \: be \: x \\ according \: to \: question \\ x - 2 =  \frac{15}{x}  \\  {x}^{2}  - 2x = 15 \\  {x}^{2}  - 2x - 15 = 0 \\  {x}^{2}  - 5x  +  3x - 15 = 0 \\ x(x - 5)  + 3(x - 5) = 0 \\ (x - 5)(x + 3) = 0 \\ so  \: \: x = 5 \: or \:  - 3 \\ but \: according \: to \: question \: the \:  \\ number \: is \: positive \\ so \:  \:  \: x = 5
