The length of the cardboard is 20cm +3.5cm +3.5cm=27cm
The width of the cardboard is 16cm + 3.5cm + 3.5cm=23cm
a) Area of margin= area of cardboard - area of poster
=(27cm×23cm)-(20cm×16cm)
=621cm²-320cm²
=301cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

the length of the cardboard is 20cm+3.5cm=27cm

the width of the cardboard is16cm+3.5cm+3.5cm=

23cm

a)Area of margin =Area of cardboard-Area of poster

(27cm×23cm)-(20cm×16cm)

=621cm^2-320cm^2

=301cm^2
