Given

Postman have total letters = 2,200

He delivered twice the letters on street A than street B .

Let he delivered total letters on street B = x

Then

He delivered total letters on street A = 2x

He delivered total letters on street A and B = 2,200 - 1300 = 900 letters

So,

x + 2x = 900

3x = 900

x = 300

So, he delivered total letters on street A = 2 × 300 = 600 letters

2200=3A+1300
3A=2200-1300
3A=900
A=900/3
A=300
