Wilting or loss of turgidity is quite common during noon due to transpiration being higher than the rate of water absorption. Wilting reduces photosynthesis and other metabolic activities of the plant making the plant to thrive on mineral nutrition.
As a result, a decrease in water uptake by the root can cause partial dehydration of the leaf cells resulting in complete closure of stomata and Wilting.
There are three types of Wilting:-
1) Incipient Wilting, 2) Temporary Wilting and 3) Permanent Wilting.

Now, because, all these types of wilting show the same type of symptoms i.e., drooping, rolling and folding of the leaves but are not showed by the thicker cuticle walled tissues (wilting). Therefore they are less conspicuous in sclerophyllous plants.
In order to recover from the effects of wilting, water is the best source has it helps to maintain and recover the turgidity of the leaves and the whole plant itself. The watering should be done before reaching the phase of permanent wilting as of which after that the plant will not completely recover in a saturated atmosphere and eventually, die. It is only corrected by replenishment of water around the root hairs only.
