Number of pieces the pumpkin was cut into ⇒ 3

Weight of two pieces ⇒ 1\ kilogram=1000 \ grams

Weight of one piece ⇒ \frac{1000}{2} =500\ grams

Weight of three pieces ⇒ 500\times 3 = 1500

1500 \ grams = 1.5 \ kilograms

∴ The weight of the whole pumpkin is 1500 grams or 1.5 kilograms.
