'A' purchases an article for rs.3,600 and sells it to 'B' for 4,800. 'B' in turn sells the article to 'C' for 5500. is Sales Tax under VAT is 10%. find the VAT levied on a and b.

A cost price =3600
so tax on it = 10/100*3600
its 360
B cost price=4800
so tax on it=10/100*4800
its 480
C cost price=5500
so tax on it=10/100*5500
so its 550
so vat of a=480-360
so vat of b=550-480
so tax on it = 10/100*3600
its 360

so tax on it=10/100*4800
its 480
C cost price=5500
so tax on it=10/100*5500
so its 550
so vat of a=480-360
so vat of b=550-480
