The phase difference between current and EMF in a circuit consisting of pure resistance is 0.

EXplanation :

Let EMF = Vsin(wt + Ф)

since resistance does not have any passive component, impedance of a resistive circuit is equal to R

=> Z = R

=> current = EMF/impedance

=> I = Vsin(wt + Ф)/R

=> I = (V/R)sin(wt + Ф)

Hence we can see the phase difference between both EMF and current is zero.
