let the valie be x

5:6:4

=5/6=x/x+4

=x=20

x+4=24

so 20:24:16

20coins of 20 paise so20×20=400

24coins of 25 paise so25×24=600

16 coins of 50 paise so50×16=800

total value=400+600+800

=1800paise

1 rupee =100 paise

so 18 rupees=1800 paise

Answer:

The total value of the coins is 90 Rs.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: the purse contains 20 paise ,25 paise,50 paise coins in the ratio 5:6:4 & the total value of 25 paise coins is one rupee more than total value of 20 paise coins.

To find the total value of coin.

Let, number of 20 paise ,25 paise,50 paise coins be 5x,6x,4x.

According to the question:

\frac{25x}{100}-\frac{20x}{100}=1\\

         \frac{5x}{100}=1

           x=20

Therefore, number of 20 paise coins= 5x=5(20)=100

Number of 25 paise coins= 6x=120

Number of 50 paise coins=4x=80

Total value of coin= 20(100)+25(120)+50(80)

                              =2000+3000+4000

                              =9000 paise

                              =90 Rs

Therefore, the total value of coins is 90 Rs.
