let the no.of coins be 50paise coins be 'x'

the no.of 25 Paise coins is three times the 50 Paise coins..

So 25paise coins be0.25×3x = 0.75x

50paise coins be 0.5×x = 0.5x

totalmoney in the purse is rupees 50

so 0.75x + 0.5x = 50Rs

1.25x = 50

x = 50/1.25 = 40 coins


50paise coins be = x = 40

25paise coins = 3x = 3 ×40= 120 coins
