Step-by-step explanation:

17 is answer

No of notes of Rs50 = x

No of Rs. 10 notes = x +1

Rs. 50 = 5x

Rs. 10 = 10(x+1) = 10x + 10

Totaal amount in purse = 250

5x + 10x + 10 = 250

15x = 240

x = 16

Number of Rs50 notes = 16

Number of Rs.10 notes = 16 + 1 = 17
