Let the 2rs coins be x say

then, 5rs coins are 5 more = (x+5)

value of 2 rs coins = 2*x = 2x

value of 5 rs coins = 5*(x+5) = 5x+25

As per problem,

2x + 5x + 25 = 165

7x = 165 - 25

7x = 140

x = 140/7

x = 20

no of 2rs coins = (x) = 20

no of 5rs coins = (x+5) = 20+5 = 25

Answer:

20 coins of Rs2 and 25 coins of Rs5

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the no of rs2 coins be x, hence no. of rs5 coins will be x+5

Given: 2x + 5(x+5)= 165

therefore, 2x + 5x +25=165

7x=140

x=20
