let ,a=5 and b=-8

p(x)=k(×^2-(a+b)x+ab)

p(x)=k(x^2-(5-8)x+5×-8)

p(x)=k(x^2-(-3)x+(-40))

p(x)=k(x^2+3x-40)

So the quadratic polynomial is

x^2+3x-40
