Let mass of  C6H12O6  be  x  (gm) in 1 molal solution.

Then  x18010001000−x=1  (Molar mass of  C6H12O6  is  180gm )

Hence  x=1800001180≈152.54

Now diluted solution weighs  5kg . Upon dilution, number of moles of glucose (or mass of glucose) remains unchanged. Hence the mass of solvent becomes  5000−152.54gm=4847.46gm

Hence molality of resulting  C6H12O6 solution will be :

m=152.5418010004847.46molkg−1

m = 0.17 molal
