Given info : a rabbit covers a distance of 30 feet by walk and then runs with the speed of 2 feet per second for x second.

To find : an algebraic expression for the total distance covered by the rabbit is..

solution : distance travelled by the rabbit by walk is 30 feet

and distance travelled by the rabbit with the speed of 2 feet per second for x - second.

we know, distance = speed × time

= 2 feet/sec × x sec

= 2x feet

now total distance covered by the rabbit = (30 + 2x) feet.
