Therefore we have been given that a rabbit covers a distance of ‘y’ meters therefore it is the total distance it covers. Now he covers 10 meters out of y meters by walking in slow motion. Therefore the remaining distance is represented by:

➡(y-10)m

Further the rabbit covers the remaining distance by jumping where each jump is of 2 meters and he makes total ‘x’ jumps, therefore the distance he covers while jumping is:

➡2 \times x = 2x

Hence the equation is of the form given below because the remaining distance is covered by jumping:

➡y - 10 = 2x

Signifying the distance y meters to be covered by 10 meters of walking and x jumps of 2 meters each.

So, the correct answer is “y = 10 + 2x”.
