Given; speed of boat in still water, B = 35 Km/h

Speed downstream, Sd = Distance/Time
Sd = 60 / 1.5
Sd = 20 / 0.5
Sd = 4 / 0.1
Sd = 40 Km/h

Speed upstream, Su = Distance/Time
Su = 60 / 2
Su = 30 Km/h

Sd = Speed of Boat in Still Water + Speed of Stream
Sd = B + S
B + S = 40
S = 40 - B

Substituting for B = 35

S = 40 - 35
S = 5 Km/h

Therefore, the speed of the stream is 5 Km/h

Johannesberg: Yeah Answer is correct.
Brownie27: Calculation for the Speed upstream can be omitted if you find it unnecessary : )
