acceleration= (46.1-18.5)/2.47
= 11.17m/s

Explanation :

Initial velocity of scooter, u=18.5\ m/s

Final velocity, v=46.1\ m/s

Time taken, t=2.47\ s

a=\dfrac{v-u}{t}

a=\dfrac{46.1\ m/s-18.5\ m/s}{2.47\ s}

a=11.17\ m/s^2

Using third equation of motion :

v^2-u^2=2as

Where,

s is the distance travelled.

(46.1\ m/s)^2-(18.5\ m/s)^2=2\times 11.17\ m/s^2\times s

s=79.81\ m

Distance covered by the scooter is 79.81 m.

Hence, this is the required solution.
