a race track is in the form of a ring whose inner circumference is 528m and the outer circumference is 616m.find the width of the track. (take π22\7).

let the radius of the outer track be r

Circumference = 2πR

616 = 2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times r

 \frac{616 \times 7}{2 \times 22} = r

r = 98m

Let the radius of the inner track be x

Circumference = 2πx

528 = 2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times x
 \frac{528 \times 7}{2 \times 22} \: = x

x= 84m

With of track
= radius of outer track - radius of inner track

= r - x
= 98 - 84

= 14 m
