Given :-

  • A racing car has uniform acceleration of 6m/s².

To find :-

  • Distance will it cover in 10 second after the start

Solution :-

  • Initial velocity = 0
  • Acceleration = 6m/s²
  • Time = 10s

According to second equation of motion

→ s = ut + ½ at²

Where " s " is distance, " u " is Initial velocity, " t " I s time and " a " is acceleration.

  • According to question

→ s = ut + ½ at²

→ s = 0 × 10 + ½ × 6 × (10)²

→ s = 0 + 3 × 100

→ s = 300m

Hence,

  • Distance will it cover in 10 second after the start is 300m

More to know :-

  • v = u + at (first equation of motion)
  • v² = u² + 2as (third equation of motion)
  • Acceleration is the rate of change in velocity
  • Acceleration in negative is know as retardation
