Given :-
- A racing car has uniform acceleration of 6m/s².
To find :-
- Distance will it cover in 10 second after the start
Solution :-
- Initial velocity = 0
- Acceleration = 6m/s²
- Time = 10s
According to second equation of motion
→ s = ut + ½ at²
Where " s " is distance, " u " is Initial velocity, " t " I s time and " a " is acceleration.
- According to question
→ s = ut + ½ at²
→ s = 0 × 10 + ½ × 6 × (10)²
→ s = 0 + 3 × 100
→ s = 300m
Hence,
- Distance will it cover in 10 second after the start is 300m
More to know :-
- v = u + at (first equation of motion)
- v² = u² + 2as (third equation of motion)
- Acceleration is the rate of change in velocity
- Acceleration in negative is know as retardation
