A racing car is moving with a velocity of 60 m/s. On applying brakes, it uniformly retards and comes to
rest in 30s. Draw a velocity-time graph and calculate:
(1)Retardation Acceleration

Answer:

Total displacement = area of trapezium OCBA

                                 =(1/2)×20m/s×(5s+13s)

                                 =180 m

Here, displacement = distance as it moves only in one direction.
