a radio was made in which a metal rod was put in the ground and the wire was attached to the radio circuit.why do u think that metal rod is attached to the wire?

there a wire known as earth wire which provides a low resistance path from the metal body of an appliance to the earth surfaceIf current enters the metal body due to a fault then a very large current flows and so the fuse blows in the live side of the circuit and cuts off the supply.
