If a radioactive substance is oxidised ,No change in radio activity will take placs as radio activity is a nuclear change which involves protons and neutrons ,where as in case of oxidation there is merely a change in number of elcetrons.....

hope it helped u !!

There will be no effect of oxidation on radioactivity of substance.

•Oxidation involves loss of electrons, during a reaction.

•It is a chemical change.

•Radioactivity refers to loss of energy, from an unstable nucleus.

•Entities involved or released are alpha, beta, gamma rays.

•At atomic level, protons and neutrons participate in these reactions.

•Thus, change in electronic configuration has no effect on nucleus of an atom or molecule.
