A railway platform is 170m long and 15m wide.It is paved with bricks each of size 30cm by 25cm.Find the cost of the bricks that are required at the rate of ₹2200 per 1000 bricks

Firstly we'll find the no. of bricks (by dividing the area of platform by area of a brick)

then we'll get 170×15/30×25

=3.4 bricks

cost =2200×34/10000

=Rs 7.48 or 7.5(app.)
