Question -:

Rani says that she has 5 more chocolates than three times the chocolates Ramu has. Rani has 25 chocolates. Set up an equation for the following statement.

Answer -:

Given -:

Ramu has m chocolates.

Rani has 25 chocolates. She has 5 more chocolates than three times the chocolates Ramu has.

Ramu has m chocolates.

Three times his chocolates = 3m.

Rani has 5 more chocolates than three times his chocolates. Thus, the expression is -:

3m + 5.

Since Rani has 25 chocolates, therefore the equation is -:

3m + 5 = 25.

Hope it helps! :)
